Well, it is here. Another edition of the Holy War in LaVell Edwards Stadium. I think the one thing you can expect for sure is a ton of energy in the stadium come opening kickoff. Beyond that, this game has always been a tough one to predict. Lots of emotions and expectations in this game. But I do have a few things that will be key to watch for in this game. So sit down, crack open a frosty sugar-free beverage, and let’s dive into this grudge match.
Just like last week, the thing I’d look for in this game is: can we start fast on offense, and how does the rushing attack look at the start of the game? In the Arizona matchup, we started off running the ball great and kept that going, amassing 258 rushing yards. If we can run the ball effectively against a strong defensive front like Utah, we will be in business. This will be our biggest test up front for our O-Line yet. But I do think the strategy I shared in our voice chat with our guards will be a big advantage in this one late in the game.
