Well, friends, it’s been a great offseason so far! Awesome transfer portal additions, a massive high school recruit signing in Brock Harris, and very good indications he’s just the beginning of an amazing 2026 class.
It’s been anything but boring, that’s for sure! I think we have a really, really good chance of landing all the players I’ve alluded to as my “Magnificent Seven”—the four usual suspects and a great haul of guys to shore up the line of scrimmage, too. In my recent conversations, I get the impression that the next one to make some noise won’t come as soon as originally thought, but he is coming, and he’ll be a B1G addition. I also suspect more players will want the Brock Harris CougConnect treatment—announcing with us and maybe doing some billboards. I thought that was fun, and I’d love to see it for all major recruits, maybe even big-time transfers, too! I was told there’d be another big announcement right on the heels of Brock’s, but a few developments have me believing it’ll happen, just not as soon as I’d hoped.
