Summer workouts and player-run practices have been great so far. All the injured guys are starting to come around and do more and more. The coaches have relied on player leadership to run this team and it's going great. This summer has been a massive difference in workouts and how we approach football activities and we will benefit a lot. Coming from a 5th-year player, the coaching changes were needed and it brought a whole new life to the program. The energy around this season has been unmatched. You can tell guys are ready to go and they are laser-focused because of how demanding our schedule will be in the Big 12.
The quarterbacks are looking great. I think we can feel comfortable with all of them having to step up and play. Runningbacks are deep and we have the guys to be a prolific offense starting with the run game. Our receivers are leaders. Veterans that don't shy away from the big moments. Our tight ends will be great this year. Look for them to be a bigger part of the offense. O-line will be solid. A bunch of transfers that have played in those big games is exactly what we needed. As far as the whole defense, they will be stellar. I think our defense will be one of the top defenses in the nation all because of coach hill. I've never seen a coach with that amount of passion to get better each and every day. Fall camp will be a lot tougher going against them but iron sharpens iron. Can't wait to see them ball out.
