Over the past few days we have really seen both sides of the ball take that next step to getting us game ready for September 2nd. Our secondary is continuously getting better every week. Seeing guys like Eddie Heckord and Jacob Robinson holding down the pass game has been really great to see. On the defensive side of things we are taking big steps to playing more as a unit everyday which is one of the main goals we have over this camp.
The offense is also doing a great job getting us better. Especially in our live periods versus the run the running back room runs hard… so our tackling has gotten better and will continue to as the rest of camp proceeds. It’s also really good to go against such a competitive O-line with the depth that they do everyday. Guys like Caleb, Kingsley, Connor and the rest of the guys are doing a really great job at making the front seven work! With all the different pressures and looks we’ve been giving them I think it’s helping both sides of the ball learn how to play at an even higher level this upcoming season.
