Coach Po’uha is all about wanting us to perform at an elite level. The first day we met him he was about establishing a culture that demands the best out of us. A culture that can turn a group of boys into a brotherhood. And a culture that creates ALPHAS. The concept of the alpha dog has become synonymous with a person who is the strongest and most capable person to lead the pack.
However instead of just one person, we are building a whole group full of them. Coach Po’uha shared a quote with us that has stuck with me which is “Champions act like champions before they become champions.” This is the mentality the d-line has right now. We are attacking everyday like a champion would, practicing like a champion should, and recovering like how champions do. As we continue to do these things, we will be able to perform at our optimal or elite level.
