This year has been one to remember. There was a lot to learn from last season as well as things we can double down on for next season. In our inaugural season in the Big 12, we as a team and individuals significantly surpassed expectations. We played together and finished the season with a top-10 offense and a top-40 defense. We know what we can do and are excited to start summer workouts this upcoming April-August. This team is resilient, and everyone is focused on the right things.
One player who is coming back is Trey Stewart. Trey is a glue for this squad and can connect with everyone. He had a rollercoaster year but finished the year strong. He started for us to begin the 2023 season. Trey played great and was someone we needed down the stretch of big games. He was dealt a difficult hand and with some circumstances that happened didn’t see the floor for almost a month to a month and a half.
