The guys had another great practice today. Lots of back-and-forth from the O and the D. And of course, the thing everyone wants to know about, I’ll cover right out of the gate. So let’s get after it.
I know the thing on most people’s minds right now is the punting work that happened today… I, of course, am joking. But only a little. I caught up with Sam Vander Haar at practice, and he excitedly said, “I’m glad you’re here! We are putting in pocket punt today. You’ll love it.” I will say I did watch pocket punt, and it looked pretty good to me. Sam can send them over 60 yards if he wants to. One went 60+, clipped a few branches off a tree, and went safely out of bounds. So he can boot it from a pocket if needed.
