Hello, my name is Deion Smith. I am a graduate running back transfer from the University of Colorado Boulder. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas in a very athletic home. The first sport I ever played was baseball, this is where I built the foundation of hard work and persistence. Middle school is where I first fell in love with the game of football. When high school came around, I was already in the routine of grinding until I saw the results: even then keep grinding and separating.
The time I spent in Boulder is something that I will always be grateful for. I went through adversity and I faced challenges that ultimately shaped me into the person and athlete that I am today. After having 4 different head coaches in my tenure at Colorado, and enduring the rebuilding process over and over again, my family and I decided it was time for a change.
