After taking a massive win in the crazy atmosphere of Kansas, we had 200+ Cougar fans in the hallway congratulating us on the victory. They formed a tunnel, and the electric “B Y U” chant filled the arena. It was one of the most historic events that we will remember from this season. As we headed back to the greatest college fan base in the country The Marriott Center, we were again met by the best student section aka “The ROC”! They waited in the cold till almost 3 am. I don’t care what anyone thinks... playing in front of Cougar Nation and the ROC is the best atmosphere in the country.
When we returned, we got back to work and had to change our mindset immediately to TCU. We have had a chip on our shoulder the entire week from being dropped from the AP top 25, and we kept the receipts from all the coaches who picked us to finish 13th in the conference. This fueled our fire at Kansas and helped us maintain an aggressive mindset throughout the game against TCU.
