“All of the fans need to know this”—that was one of the things I was told over the last 36 hours. I’ve had half a dozen phone calls and dozens of text messages with people close to the program over the last day and a half.
One person who is very close to the program thinks it is important that the fans understand why all this is happening. Because this should be a moment we are celebrating. We just clinched the spot in the title game that we wanted so badly last year, we have a once-in-a-generation recruiting class coming in, and we’re sitting at 11-1 with a very exciting roster and lots of parity in the top 25 teams of college football.
