Well, a great start to another college football Saturday. I, for one, was a big fan of the Big XII game on Big Noon Kickoff. It’s also nice to see the Big XII on Fox all day. It’ll be good visibility for the conference.
An interesting note following the Texas Tech vs. Utah matchup. I had a very well-informed person in Utah circles tell me that, allegedly, OC Ben Arbuckle and his QB John Mateer were very much interested in coming to Utah. That supposedly changed at the last minute when they heard the composition of the coaching staff wasn’t going to experience all the changes they had previously anticipated. I think had they come to Utah, things would have been different in today’s matchup. I’ll discuss what I was told at greater length in the next CougConnect VC on Discord.
