These past couple of weeks the receivers and Quarterbacks have been getting together to run rva which is routes vs air. They go over the routes that they need to work on and try to get the timing down on each and every route. They have been doing that every other day before workouts reppin those routes to perfection so by the time the game comes it’s second nature.
The receivers have been looking really good and they have a really deep and stacked receiver room everyone of those 6 guys can play and they are all big time playmakers and it has shown throughout spring ball and during their player run practices.
The offense has also been doing a lot of player run practices to better execute their plays and rep them out so they don’t make the dumb little mistakes they were making last year. The offense has been looking really good and they have been executing at high levels and they have been very efficient. They are moving at high levels because most of the offense is vets so they are just perfecting what they already know how to do.
The QBs have been looking really good too. Treyson, Gerry and Jake have all shown that they can run the show and it’s going to be a battle to see who will take that starting job come week one. All of them are running the offense at high levels executing well.
They are really starting to get the timing down with the receivers and they are all throwing great balls. This year the offense is going to be firing on all cylinders and Cougar Nation, be ready to watch a lot of fireworks at Lavell Edwards Stadium this year because this offense is going to show the whole country what they can do and it’s going to be a sight to see!!!

This player is a veteran player who wished to remain anonymous. In talking with me he reported that the team does look more polished and there are a lot fewer errors. With lots of transfers last season there was a learning curve for newcomers in the WR room. But all things indicate that more time in the system is leading to much better practices
A few WR have confided in me that Treyson is a dark horse but a very competent passer. He may not be on scholarship but throws a very consistent and accurate ball, particularly well on the deep balls. I still expect Jake to be starter in game one, but keep an eye on Treyson.
